Joe’s Boys drummer, Steve "Legend" Colfer and his wife, Carm, just sheepishly reported that they fell asleep at the Saratoga Racino, and two hours after closing time, woke up to see this thing hovering right over them!
At first, poor Legend thought this was the gateway to heaven! When he regained full consciousness and realized that it wasn't a spaceship that came down to get him, he figured out what had occurred and simply summed it up by saying, "Lucky Joe" is usually how we describe how our Joe must feel playing with the 'Boys!
Oh, just kidding, Joe!
Now, the news! The ‘Boys will be at the amazing

You all know that Joe’s Boys always step into their musical
timemachine everytime we go on stage - going back and forth
in time and space to the ‘50’s, the ‘60’s, ‘70’s before zapping
into the 21st Century - and even “traveling down the
Thruway” to visit recording artists on Manhattan’s Upper
East Side, Central Park West, and even Bay Ridge in
Well, Joe just did a no-no. He took the ‘Boys’ timemachine
for a spin on his own, twirling a bunch of dials, pushing
buttons like crazy, and didn’t even top off the tank before
he blasted off! He had no idea where he was headed for!
Serves Joe right! By the looks of this picture, Joe landed
a job playing accordion in the lobby of a hotel - in 1957 -
right near the Trevi Fountain in Rome!
Listen, do us a favor. If you see Joe in the next couple of
days, toss a few coins in his fedora – and tell him to get
back to the Capital District pronto! We have a gig this

You've read all about the numerous outside business interests
that Joe's Boys has gotten involved with in the past - the
parasailing school, the auto body shop, and even the
petrified creatures museum. Just scroll down to the bottom
of this page to bring yourself up to speed with those
But, that isn't enough for the 'Boys! Joe's Boys are
entrepreneurs of the highest order - and we want you to
be among the first to see what we're up to lately.
First of all - there's the energy industry - oil and natural
gas. Jimmy (Hollywood) Hyde brought this one to our
attention, and, boy, are we glad he did! So, we've invested
in an outstanding high tech petroleum products company, and
the new name of the company, as seen on the side of our
company's newest state-of-the-art transport vehicle, says it
We're getting into the restaurant business, too! Yeah, we
know that we have restaurants and bars all over the country
that serve as our unofficial clubhouses (read all about that
'way below) - but Joe's Boys is proud to be from the Capital
District, and we will never forget the people of this great
region that helped make us what we are today! So, in an
effort to give back, to create a terrific, comfortable place
where all of Joe's Boys fans can come with their families to
relax and eat in a beautiful, casual environment not far from
home - and to, perhaps, meet one or two of the 'Boys and
take a picture or two - here's a look at one of the first
photos of Joe's Boys' latest investment endeavor located on
Rt. 7 in nearby Latham - and we hope to see you there soon!
And here's a real treat! Whenever Joe's Boys is in town,
Joe, himself, will, most likely, be right there at the door to
greet you with his trademark, "GET OUTTA HERE!"
Wait a minute! Wait a minute!
Looks like Jimmy's been salting away his Joe's Boys earnings!
Hey, Hollywood! Who's your investment guy?

Joe's Boys' Fans Come From All Walks Of Life! Everybody loves the 'Boys!
You know, we can't even begin to tell you guys the number of
times Joe's Boys is asked each week, "Hey, Joe's Boys! You
guys have been playing all over the place for soooo long!"
What keeps you guys going???
DOES THIS ANSWER YOUR QUESTION?
The more that Joe's Boys tours, we're finding that our fans
want more of us!
Lately, Maestro - Mike Bieber - has really had a rough time
getting around without being hounded by our fans!
Look - He simply went to Price Chopper last week for a loaf
of Wonder Bread and some salami - and here's just a sample
of what he was faced with - and this was just in the deli
Poor Maestro was a little under the weather the other day,
and went down to the Chelsea drugstore, to get his
prescription filled (how many of you recognize that line???)...
and, somehow, a couple of hundred girls heard about
him, made a bunch of signs and camped out in front of CVS
waiting for him to come out!
The last straw - and it was a shocker - was when Maestro
opened up his garage door early one morning to take out the
garbage, and was met with this -
Maestro's security people took care of this one pronto!
Maestro's a bit bewildered by all this attention, and it's
really thrown him for a loop!
He keeps walking around, asking anyone who will listen -
"WHERE THE HELL WERE THEY 45 YEARS AGO!!!"

The 'Boys sounded incredible at Smith's of Cohoes!
There's something about this former 1920's speakeasy that

Our Friends And Fans At Smith's Are Among The BEST!
You've got to answer a question for us!
How does Willie always find out where we're playing???
We saw Joe doing a polka with half the crowd at our recent
gig at the Polish-American Club! Not a very pretty kielbasa!
Now, if Joe gets any ideas about doing a jitterbug at
Albany's Appletini's on Friday, May 18, Jimmy has used his
extensive "professional contacts" to make an advance
reservation at these "deluxe accommodations" where Doppler
Joe can "cool his heels" until Joe's Boys finish their show!
For the 3rd consecutive year, Joe's Boys was proud to be
the headline musical act at Michael's Banquet House where
they performed at the Annual Jazz/Rock Brunch that
generated thousands of dollars to benefit the Little Sisters
of the Poor and Our Lady of Hope - a wonderful senior
living and skilled nursing facility in Latham!

who has become a huge fan of the band!

If you've seen her, you'll never forget her!

"I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE JOE'S BOYS!"
Joe’s Boys knows that everybody loves our drummer

That’s why the ‘Boys are a bit mystified as to why we didn’t
receive an invitation from the Lake Placid Mayor’s Office
when they dedicated this beautiful park overlooking Mirror
Lake in “The Legend’s” name!
The invitation must still be in the mail!
Note to the Lake Placid Chamber of Commerce: Move that
apostrophe over to the left a little bit to more properly
honor our 'Boy! Like one space over to the left!
Oh? What's that you say?
The park actually honors a bunch of guys that did some
heroic sports stuff in the town?
Oh yeah??? Why don't you tell us about it?

Joe's Boys was recently summoned to Massachusetts to provide the musical entertainment at the incredible wedding of two of their biggest fans - Becky and Wayne!
Take a good look at what's in Becky's right hand...
Along with their "first kiss" - Wayne just presented Becky with a very special gift from the groom...
One of the first copies of Joe's Boys' latest CD - "Live At The Desmond!"
(We hear that Wayne enjoyed his stay at Massachusetts General Hospital after Becky realized that there actually was a CD inside the case.)
And "Joe's Boys Live At The Desmond!" is available for sale at many of our gigs at a special low price - just for you!
Now, most of you out there know that Joe's Boys was formed 'way back in the last century. The 'Boys have been around for a long, long time - and we know that so many of our fans have been very curious about where exactly the band came together. Well, recently, we all paid a visit to the home of an elderly Capital District historian, who, after a long investigation, unearthed an old photograph of the birthplace of Joe's Boys. At great expense, the 'Boys had the picture restored, and now, proudly present - the official historical site where the "Capital District's Favorite Rock 'n Pop Band" - JOE'S BOYS - was created! (We're currently applying for designation as an historical landmark building.)
The Joe's Boys Tour Bus seats 44. And stands 193! (We've got a lot of friends that like to party!)
Hey, whether you're a longtime fan of the band, or just saw us for the first
time, it's great to have you with us!
Joe's Boys was formed back in the 20th Century in New York State's Capital
District by Joe Rossi and Mike Bieber. With the great Steve "The Living Legend"
Colfer, who handles the percussion, the incredible Jimmy "Hollywood" Hyde
sharing the lead singing spotlight with the "one-of-a-kind" Joe "Doppler Joe"
Rossi, Richie "Spike" Cunniff, that devilish, talented sax player, and Mike
"Maestro" Bieber, who lays down the foundation on keyboards - the 'Boys always
play an incredible number of hits and one-hit wonders that bring back the good
times for everybody!
Now, Joe’s Boys has been telling you all about the Joe’s Boys Tour Bus for a
couple of years now - and, as you can see, we’ve even posted pictures of it!
Well, things have been going so well for the ‘Boys, we decided to let Maestro
(Mike Bieber) handle the top-to-bottom renovation of our bus! Maestro has been
taking auto detailing classes for the past two years at Hoffman's Car Wash
and has assured us that he can handle the big job of overhauling the entire
Joe's Boys Tour Bus – and even give it a fresh, new look on the outside!
Let’s see what Maestro’s been up to…
Er, Maestro… That’s not exactly what we had in mind!

Today, as the Joe's Boys Tour Bus rolls on, the great rock and pop sounds of Joe's Boys continue to capture audiences from Albany to the Adirondacks!
Mixing classic songs of the 60's, 70's and 80's with a few from today, Joe's Boys always has audiences throughout the Capital Region saying, "Hey! I remember that tune! That song is great!"

You know, as artists, it is very important that Joe's Boys arrives at our gigs refreshed and ready to rock! We owe that to you, our fans! Well, now, after a couple of years, we've got to tell you that the Tour Bus is beginning to get a little cramped for us - we want to be able to stretch our legs during those trips to the Orchard Tavern's backyard stage, the Desmond Hotel, Chipshots, Smith's of Cohoes, the City Sports Grille, the Parting Glass and the corner of Broadway and Ellsworth Jones Place in Saratoga, where, on several occasions, we've been one of the headline musical acts during the incredible "Hats Off To Saratoga" celebration! So Joe's Boys is thinking expansion! Tour Bus-wise, that is. We're starting to look at some new wheels, kicking a few tires, checking out the flatscreens, the beds, and the weight rooms that come with some of these babies!
Hey - We want to know what you think!
Here's a peak at a prototype of the new Joe's Boys Tour Bus!
Sweet, huh? This past summer, we test-drove this baby up the Northway to the Saratoga Race Track. Jimmy was at the wheel - and finally got the bus under control right by the backstretch of the Oklahoma Track! We roared past a bunch of jockeys out for a walk, kicking up more dust in their faces than they ate at the Preakness! John Velasquez and Calvin Borel were a little miffed at first, but we finally figured out how to open the door and let them come into the bus and try out the jacuzzi! Hey - Edgar Prado took two steaks out of our galley refrigerator and threw them on a BBQ! Joe's Boys now has a couple of new fans!

That marquee. There's something different about it. Ohhhhhhh!
You know, wherever Joe's Boys travels during our tours, we like to have a special place where we feel we can chill with friends and fans, enjoy a good meal, and just feel that the place is truly "our own." Each of us thinks that one particular restaurant fits that bill. But none of us - Doppler Joe, Hollywood, Maestro, Spike or Legend - can agree on what that place may be! Check 'em out!
Well, Joe's Boys thinks that it's the music that comes first!

Everybody knows that sometimes Joe leaves the stage to mingle with the crowd, seat some guests, serve some drinks, check the weather - the 'Boys don't know where he'll be from minute to minute! Hey! One night at Smith's of Cohoes, he ran out the front door in the middle of a song! Why, you ask? 'Cause when the door opened up, he saw his car double-parked outside with the lights on and the engine running ! Joe didn't bother to park his car for the night! Talk about getting psyched up for a show!
Joe went a little too far a couple of weeks ago, when Joe's Boys was playing a gig outdoors! Gone, again! Well, we happened to look up in the sky and quickly figured things out! It turns out that Joe has a little business venture on the side that he didn't tell the 'Boys about - and we actually spotted him checking things out from the customers' viewpoint during a break in a recent gig! Too bad, it was the viewpoint of his other customers - not Joe's Boys'! Joe's new business???
Joe's going to have to get a longer microphone cord!
All that's left are two poles and an old sign standing
amongst the tumbleweeds!
How did things go wrong? Well, this might explain what happened.
Here's a sample of one of Joe's finer attempts at car repairs.
And this guy came to the shop just needing a new pair of wipers!
Now, we all know that sometimes things happen for a reason.
Right after this business venture, Joe found his true calling (and his current occupation) - assuming the chief responsibility for making certain that one of the Capital District's leading hospitals, including their operating rooms, intensive care units, and laboratories, is maintained in a safe and pristine condition!
Joe attributes his current success to the techniques that he perfected at his auto body shop!
A picture is, indeed, worth 1,000 words!

HEY! DMV! Let's work on that spelling! One of Joe's 23 Nicknames!
Yo! There are FIVE of us in the band! That's "Hollywood Hyde!"
Uh, Jimmy. Let's not get carried away! Steve-The plate frame says it all!
Maestro's fans are all over the USA! Spike's, too!
'Nuff said! This one, too!
OK, Maestro. Now, we're starting to get carried away!
After a gig, Joe likes to sit down with the ‘Boys, have a
couple of tequilas, and tell a tall tale or two in the late
Yeah, we know about his early days on the railroad, his
managerial duties at a distinguished Capital District hospital,
and a whole host of other interesting tidbits about his life
before Joe’s Boys.
But, we’re kind of having trouble believing that the face on
this baseball card that he showed us belongs to our Joe!
Hey, Joe. That Pirates baseball cap is circa 1953!
Actually, the 'Boys are more likely to believe that this is the
Joe Rossi that we know and love -
